Renee Ellerbroek, MD

Renee Ellerbroek, MD is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has practiced pathology for 37 years, including 35 years as medical director of a large central Iowa independent laboratory. Dr. Ellerbroek is an Iowa native who received her undergraduate degree from Drake University. She attended the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed a residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology at the University of Iowa. Her long-standing service in the College of American Pathologists include Iowa State Commissioner, Region 7 North Central United States Regional Commissioner and member of the Laboratory Accreditation Committee, Chair of Continuous Compliance committee and member and vice chair of PathPAC. She has directed numerous live inspector training seminars and participated in online instruction to CAP inspectors. She is also former president of Iowa Association of Pathologists and chairman of the board of trustees for Polk County Medical Society.

Jared Abbott, MD, PhD

Dr. Abbott is originally from Northern Minnesota and attended college at Princeton University. He earned a combined MD/PhD degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed a pathology residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester and went on to finish a dermatopathology fellowship in the Dermatology Department at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology.

He has practiced in Iowa for over 15 years and has served as President of the Iowa Association of Pathology and is active at a national level with the College of American Pathologists.

Tiffani Milless, MD is board-certified in Anatomic, Clinical, and Dermatopathology and has been diagnosing patients throughout Iowa for nearly a decade. She earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and completed her medical school training at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology was at the Yale New Haven Hospital, and her dermatopathology fellowship was at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

A passionate patient and healthcare advocate, Dr. Milless has been highly involved with the Iowa Medical Society since her arrival in Iowa, serving on the Board of Directors, the Legislative Committee, and ultimately as President of the Iowa Medical Society. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Association of Pathologists and is a Fellow in the College of American Pathologists.

Caitlin Halverson, MD has been practicing pathology dermatopathology for eight years, all in the state of Iowa. She is board-certified in Anatomic, Clinical, and Dermatopathology. Dr. Halverson completed all of her education (undergraduate, medical school, residency, and fellowship) at the University of Alabama.

She was inducted into the National Medical Honor Society (Alpha Omega Alpha) and also granted the William Boyd Medal for Excellence in Pathology and the Jay McDonald Award for Excellence in Laboratory Medicine.
